U-zhaan x Tamaki Roy x Chinza Dopeness are creating an unique sound, mixing off beat hip hop with world music.
U-Zhaan is a Tabla player who studied under both globally known tabla players, Anindo Chatterjee and Zakir Hussain. He Participated in ASA-CHANG & JUNRAY from 2000 to 2010. In 2011, he released a collaborative album “Kawagoe Rendez-Vous” with Rei Harakami. In 2014, he released his first solo album “Tabla Rock Mountain” with Cornelius and Ryuichi Sakamoto as featuring guests. He has also collaborated with various artists such as Jim O'Rourke, Arto Lindsay, Devendra Banhart and Francesco Tristano.
Tamaki Roy
Produces music works mainly using rap. He has released 5 music albums, performed in various music festivals in Japan and overseas, and collaborated with various musicians. He also creates performing arts in collaboration with a dancer, Yasutake Shimaji, from Forsythe Company, produces installations, film music, advertising music, fashion show music and picture books as well.
Chinza Dopeness
Rap singer. Released CD solo album “100% RAP” in 2009. Since then, he has created an album “It Feels Great!” with his “doping” band and a mini album “T.U.B.E”. Also performed at various music festivals in Japan and overseas.Many collaborations in guest performances.
